We regret that because of the prevalence of the Omicron variant, we have decided to postpone in-person classes at the Old Town Hall for at least two weeks. Although the variant seems mild, it is highly contagious, the effects on our age group have not yet been quantified and the peak has not been reached. We hope that we can re-open the Town Hall on Monday 24 January but nothing can be taken for granted. A committee meeting will be held just before then to reach a decision based on the latest data as well as government advice. The usual Zoom classes will not be affected, and some in-person classes are on Zoom for the time being.

If you are coming to the Town Hall for the first time, you need to bring proof of double vaccination and a face mask should be worn in all common parts of the building. You will be issued with a validated access card which enables you to pass check points within the Town Hall. It will be fixed to a distinctive lanyard to be worn at all times in the building.

Naomi Stuart, (Chairman)
