Here are details of just some of the amazing classes on offer this term thanks to our talented and dedicated coordinators
- Continuing Classes:
- The Gardening Club. Alternate Mondays at 12.50 in room 1.29. The class will visit a local public garden or park every other class, and in the previous session will discuss the history and the plants of the garden or park to be visited with a handout.
- Finding the Right Space Tuesday mornings begins soon. Focusing is a gentle, body-based way of connecting with what your body knows. Rather than analysing or trying to fix things, Focusing offers a kind, curious attention that lets something fresh emerge in its own time. - Science: Light, colour and Photography Tuesdays at 12.50 in room1.22 with David Wolfe
- European History Wednesdays at 11.40. This year, we are going from 1908, through the First World War & 1920s, into the “Low, dishonest decade” of the 1930s with a sprinkling of talks on Art & Music along the way in 38 talks with over 4,000 slides. http://art-science.com/history-talks.html
- Modern and Contemporary Literature: Alternate Wednesdays at 14.00 on Zoom. On 16 Sept we start by studying Lorca’s play Blood Wedding, moving on in October to look at Heart the Lover a novel by American author Lily King. New members are always welcome. Please email Ines Newman for the link
