Class

Sociology: Organisational behaviour and theory

Class Details

The course explores how people think, feel, and act within organisations, and how organisations themselves are structured and managed. We will examine key ideas such as motivation, leadership, teamwork, communication, and organisational culture, drawing on well-established theories while connecting them to everyday experiences.  Designed for learners from a wide range of backgrounds, the course combines academic insight with clear, accessible explanations. Through discussion and real-life examples, participants will gain a better understanding of how organisations function – whether in workplaces, volunteer groups, or community settings – and how individuals can contribute effectively within them.
