For those who have attended my class The Life, Thought and Legacy of Spinoza, we will read the Ethics together, attempting to make sense of this difficult but rewarding masterpiece as a practical philosophical inquiry on how to live well. We’ll use the translation of the Ethics by Samuel Shirley.
