Greek: Beginners Ancient Greek 1

Class Details

We will use ‘Reading Greek’ published by CUP.
Total beginners are welcome to this class as well as those who may have tried Ancient Greek before. The “Reading Greek” textbook contains material adapted from ancient authors, including Herodotus, Euripides, Aristophanes and Demosthenes. Students will receive a good introduction to Greek culture, and especially that of Classical Athens through the texts and illustrations. The accompanying Grammar and Exercises volume provides support and exercises at different levels and Greek-English and English-Greek vocabularies.
