Mathematics in Civilisation

Class Details

Mathematics dates back to the dawn of history.  We study its growth, focusing on key problems and triumphs and see how mathematics penetrates virtually all areas of culture (scientific and artistic). We look at the extraordinary lives of some of the great mathematicians.  No knowledge required.  Questions are encouraged.
